The whole purpose of using a PC to process data is that it can store large amounts of data at one single place which is easily accessible by the user. And the best part is that the user can open and work on multiple data files simultaneously. But an important question arises that how safe and secure is the data stored on PC hard disk? Well! • Systematically organize the data into various files, sub-folders, main folders and system drives.
• After proper data arrangement, finalize the separate selected location which in most cases is a separate CD/DVD or external hard disk, for data back-up and storage.
• Now go ahead and create a back-up copy of your data on the storage device by copying files or dragging them to the back-up destination using windows explorer
• A user can also perform disk cloning, where in the contents of the original disk are written to an image file and then the back-up disk is loaded with the mentioned image contents.
• You can also use Windows back-up or any third party back-up solutions to perform a full back up of PC hard disks at pre designated intervals so that in the event of data loss or damage, the user can use the restore function to re-instate the lost data.

Therefore, by following the above strategies and carefully storing the data, one can certainly escape the situation of permanent data loss and have options to restore the lost or damaged data in such events.
